Explore North East – Cancellation & Refund Policy 1.0
(Applicable to Homestays, Events, Car & Bike Rentals)
- General Rules
All bookings made through Explore North East are subject to this policy.
Customers must cancel directly through our platform or official support channels.
Refunds (if applicable) will be processed to the original payment method.
Any service fees, convenience fees, or taxes paid are non-refundable.
- Cancellation by Customer
A. If cancelled 7 days or more before the service date:
Full refund (excluding platform fees)
B. If cancelled 3 to 6 days before the service date:
50% refund
C. If cancelled within 48 hours of the service date:
No refund
D. No-show without cancellation:
No refund
E. If cancelled within 48 hours from the booking time:
Full refund
- Cancellation by Service Provider
(Homestay Host, Organizer, or Rental Partner)
If the provider cancels due to any reason:
Customer will receive 100% refund
OR
Free rescheduling / alternate option (if available)
If a provider cancels repeatedly, they may be penalized or suspended from the platform.
- Partial Use / Early Checkout / Shortened Duration
No refunds for unused days, hours, or tickets after check-in, check-out, or event start.
Extensions depend on availability and are charged separately.
- Force Majeure / Unforeseen Events
No refund will be issued in cases like:
Natural disasters
Political unrest
Transportation strikes
Weather disruptions
Government restrictions
However, the platform may assist with rescheduled bookings or credits where possible.
- Refund Processing Timeline
Refunds will be initiated within 7-10 business days after approval.
Bank delays or gateway processing time may vary.
- Disputes & Support
For issues related to cancellations, rescheduling, or refunds:
Customers should contact support within 24 hours of the problem.
The platform will coordinate between the customer and provider.
Final decision rests with Explore North East based on terms.
- Non-Refundable Situations
No refunds will apply if:
Incorrect booking details by the customer
ID/address proof mismatch
Violating rules of the host/organizer/provider
Late arrival or no-show
Property/vehicle misuse or damage
Ticket resale or transfer attempts
- Platform Rights
Explore North East reserves the right to:
Modify or update this policy anytime
Decide refunds in exceptional cases
Deduct penalties or dues before refund (if applicable)
